Is Chalk another AI fitness app?
No. Chalk has no AI inside at all. The ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini you already pay for is the coach; it knows your goals, injuries and history. Chalk is the structured tracker it writes plans into and reads results from.
How does my AI write workouts into Chalk?
You generate a private connector link in Settings and add it to your assistant once, in about three minutes. From then on, any chat can build training blocks in Chalk, update your plan mid-week, leave coaching notes, and read your logged sets to adjust next week.
What can I track?
Strength sets with weight, reps and RPE, plus PRs and streaks. Cardio with distance, time, pace, heart rate and calories. Sports like football, padel, squash, tennis and swimming. There's a rest timer, offline logging for basement gyms, and week-by-week history.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your training data is locked to your account at the database level and stored in the EU. No ads, no selling data, no AI training. Friends only ever see your weekly session count and streak. You can export everything as JSON or delete your account anytime.
How much does it cost?
Chalk is free while in early access. You bring your own AI subscription, so there's no per-message AI fee hiding anywhere.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can paste a link, you can set up Chalk. Each assistant has a step-by-step guide with every click spelled out.
