Privacy
The short version: your training data is yours. We store it so the app works, your AI only sees it because you connected it, and you can export or delete everything whenever you like.

What we collect
Your account email, the profile details you choose to add (display name, weight unit, bodyweight), and the training data you log: plans, workouts, sets, cardio metrics, notes, and any photos you attach to a session. If you use Friends, we store the connection between your account and your friend's.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase on servers in the European Union (Stockholm). Photos are kept in a private bucket that only your account can access. The site is hosted on Vercel.
AI assistants
Chalk has no AI of its own and never sends your data to any AI provider. Your ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini can only read or write your training if you create a connector link and add it to that assistant yourself. Each link is private to you and you can revoke it at any time in Settings. What an assistant then does with data it reads is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
What friends can see
If you connect with a friend, they see your display name, how many sessions you logged this week, and your weekly streak. They never see your workouts, weights, notes, or photos.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, we don't use your data to train AI models, and we don't track you across other sites. Analytics are anonymous page counts (Vercel Analytics), with no cross-site cookies.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: they keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Export and deletion
You can export everything as JSON from Settings at any time. Deleting your account in Settings permanently removes your profile, plans, logs, photos, tokens and friend connections. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
