Terms of use
Plain English, no traps. Here's the deal for using Chalk.
Last updated: 9 June 2026
What Chalk is
Chalk is a workout tracking app. It connects to AI assistants you already use (like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini) so they can read and write your training plans and logs. Chalk itself contains no AI.
Not medical or professional advice
Chalk displays and stores training information; it does not provide medical, health or coaching advice. Plans written into Chalk come from your AI assistant or from you, not from us. Train sensibly, and consult a qualified professional before starting a new programme, especially if you have a health condition or injury. You use Chalk, and any plan tracked in it, at your own risk.
Early access
Chalk is young and free while in early access. The service is provided as-is: features may change, and although we work hard to protect your data (and give you one-tap export), occasional downtime or bugs are possible. If we ever introduce paid plans, existing basics like logging and export will stay usable.
Your account and data
You need to be at least 16 to use Chalk. Keep your login and connector links private; a connector link grants full read/write access to your training data, so treat it like a password. Your data remains yours: export it or delete your account (Settings) at any time.
Fair use
Don't abuse the service: no attempting to access other people's data, no disrupting the API, no using Chalk for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll note it on this page with a new date. Continuing to use Chalk after a change means you accept the updated terms.
